Statement from Vital Farms on Partnership with Acosta Foodservice
Today, Acosta and The Core Group united their foodservice businesses to form CORE Foods. As a result of a competitive issue associated with this merger, we made a mutual decision with Acosta Foodservice to end our partnership. We thank Acosta for being a terrific partner and facilitating introductions with several national and regional foodservice brands.
We continue to see significant opportunity for medium to long-term growth in the foodservice channel. Our brand is featured on menus in key markets across the country. This year, we have expanded our regional distribution with restaurant groups in Los Angeles, Boston, Houston, and Minneapolis/Saint Paul. We believe our high-quality ethical products resonate with today’s diners and are confident that we will expand the Vital Farms brand even further in national and regional restaurant chains, building on progress we’ve made to date.
